General Overview – Full & New Moons
The moon and its position within our celestial sky holds a powerful frequency that affects our day to day beingness here on Earth. The moons electro-magnetic frequency as it waxes and wanes each month effects our physiology, our emotional/mental responses and spiritual potential.
The energy from the New Moon up to the Full Moon is gradually building in strength and intensity; thus the New Moon is a great time to set your intentions, write down goals or begin new projects for the forthcoming cycle. Consider sitting in ceremony or personal meditation and affirming to the Universe your intentions & inner-most heartfelt desires for the cycle.
From Full Moon to the New Moon the energy is gradually decreasing in strength and intensity… thus is a time to release and let go of any areas in your life that no longer serve your higher purpose. The Full Moon is a perfect time to connect in ceremony (personal or group), light a candle and release/transmute through sacred ritual that which no longer serves.

June 30/July 1 – Jupiter & Venus Conjunction
On the evening of June 30 (July 1), the two brightest planets in our night sky Jupiter & Venus will make a conjunction (appear very close together). The last time this conjunction took place was over 2,000 years ago (approx 2BC) and thus is speculated that this conjunction is what we refer to today as the ‘Star of Bethlehem’.
The best time to view this conjunction with the naked eye would be toward the Western horizon at sunset and into the early evening.

Lessons From the Universe
I look up to the heavens.
I see the brilliance beating from Venus’ heart,
Earth’s sister,
Morning star,
Our closest neighbor amidst vast infinity.
Jupiter’s massive body
Spins rapidly, millions of miles away
But visible to us here on Earth,
Simply by reflecting the Sun’s radiance in the twilight sky.
A firefly twinkles near my cheek. Then another, and another.
The trees sparkle with fireflies’ mysterious moving, fading, brightening glow.

All that raises the vibration of life itself.
The morning star, Venus heralds a new dawn
For the consciousness of humankind.
We inhabit a planet
Full of magic
(for life is the truest magic of all)
Where the moon and sun appear the same size
Where Jupiter of Wisdom and Venus of Love converge
Into an awe-inspiring spectacle
Where the stars twinkle all around us
Even in the daytime.
A planet where we have everything we need
If we will simply

Sun – now, Identity, consciousness, self-esteem, expression
Capricorn (Earth) – Practical, realist, reliable, hard worker, cautious
Cancer (water) – nurturing, family, sensitive, emotional, moody, psychic
This Full Moon in the earth sign of Capricorn (practical, hardworker) is reflecting the light of the Sun in the water sign of Cancer (family, emotional, homeloving). Whilst Capricorn is hardworking and gets things done, it can get us caught up too much in process and bring rigidity to our lives… but with the balance of Cancer the emotional element will highlight intuitive/creative new ways of moving forward.
This Full Moon in Capricorn is also closely aligned with Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto is the sign of transformation and when in Capricorn is about breaking down the rules, regulations and outmoded ways of being… with the Full Moon igniting this energy expect a very emotional/passionate/soul searching time for many.
So expect great inspiration over this full moon, and the energy and dedication to follow through.

This Cancer new moon is a time to look at yourself honestly, and give love to every nuance, action, thought and feeling. Simply mother yourself, and acknowledge yourself as already whole and perfect… you are simply LOVE!
Cancer is the sign of the Sacred Feminine, the creative Mother energy and the nurturer. This new moon offers an energy to peer within and view our relationship to our ‘Mother’ within, our sacred intuitive natures (whether we are male or female).
What can your ‘Inner-Mother’ teach you at this time… and allow that wisdom to be imparted from a place of unconditional love of self.

What a great energy this will be to get out of your stuff ‘woe is me’, ‘life is so hard’ etc.. and take the focus off yourself and really look at the bigger picture of creation.
You have the power to use your thoughts, words, energy, actions to creating enduring and peaceful change on this planet… this is time to take ownership and responsibility of what the word SERVICE really means.
