The meaning of April
April Name: The name ‘April’ is derived from the latin word Aprilis meaning ‘to open’ (referring to the blossoming of nature in the Northern Hemisphere Spring) and is also said to be named after the Greek Goddess ‘Aphrodite’, the Goddess of LOVE & beauty.
Interestingly, the old Anglo-Saxon calendar named the month of April Eosturmonath after the Goddess Eostur and it is from the Goddess Eostur from which we derive the the the name Easter (as Easter most commonly falls in the month of April).
April Birth Flowers: Daisy (contains within it the fibonnaci spiral of creation) & Sweetpea – meaning love, purity & innocence.
April Birthstone: Diamond (represents our Octahedron Crystalline Matrix or Diamond Light Body) – meaning everlasting eternal LOVE.
April Herbs/Essential Oils: Lavendar, YlangYlang, Tangerine & Lemon – for Joy & LOVE.

General Overview – Full & New Moons
The moon and its position within our celestial sky holds a powerful frequency that affects our day to day beingness here on Earth. The moons electro-magnetic frequency as it waxes and wanes each month effects our physiology, our emotional/mental responses and spiritual potential.
The energy from the New Moon up to the Full Moon is gradually building in strength and intensity; thus the New Moon is a great time to set your intentions, write down goals or begin new projects for the forthcoming cycle. Consider sitting in ceremony or personal meditation and affirming to the Universe your intentions & inner-most heartfelt desires for the cycle.
From Full Moon to the New Moon the energy is gradually decreasing in strength and intensity… thus is a time to release and let go of any areas in your life that no longer serve your higher purpose.
The Full Moon is a perfect time to connect in ceremony (personal or 
group), light a candle and release/transmute through sacred ritual that which no longer serves.

This April Full Moon in Scorpio and Sun in Taurus – potentiates the energy of taking responsibility for what is happening around you and on the Earth today…. the questions that may come up for you are:
Why do I allow myself to be a victim ?
Why do I blame others for my own condition ?
Why do I allow myself to feel powerless ?
With the Sun in Taurus we are wanting to anchor the divine energies available to us at this time and make a commitment to ourselves for self-responsibility and growth. Conversely, the moon in Scorpio intensifies the energies, getting us in contact with our feelings and emotions… intuitively you know why the last few months have been difficult/challenging for you !
This is intense energy that shows us the hard facts of exactly WHY each of us are in the position we are in… and that we have the choice to make the change.
With these intense energies, the next two weeks maybe turbulent for some as we reassess what it is we feel in our heart, what is important to us and any issues in our lives which are not congruent with our heartfelt feelings.
My advice is to just love all aspects of self, acknowledge your divine magnificence and hand over any pain to spirit. It is time to be truly authentic, and in your authentic love of self you expand the consciousness so others may too embrace authentic love of self.
This Full Moon is also a Micro Moon !

WESAK – 21/22 April 2016
Wesak is the first full Moon in Taurus – the time when the veil is thinnest between the higher dimensional planes (6th Dimension Pleiades, 7th Dimension Sirius & 8th Dimension Galactic Core) and the Earthly plane (1st Dimension Crystalline Earth’s Heart).
At the Wesak full moon every year, many people make the trek to the Wesak Valley at the bottom of Mt Kakais in Tibet to celebrate Buddha’s Birthday. It is at this full moon that Buddha comes closet to Earth as the veil thins, bringing much light, love and healing to humanity. Heaven and Earth are brought together as one.
