The Trusted News Initiative (TNI) was founded by the BBC in July 2019 to tackle ‘disinformation challenges’.   

“The BBC’s Trusted News Initiative is a partnership that includes [global media & bigtech] organisations such as First Draft, Google/YouTube, Twitter, Reuters, Meta and The Washington Post. It is the only forum in the world of its kind designed to take on disinformation in real time.”— BBC website.

The list of partners are ever growing, including in addition to the above members— The Associated Press, AFP, the Financial Times, The Hindu, European Broadcasting Union (EBU), CBC Radio-Canada and Big Tech partners such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Microsoft.  And yes sadly enough it also includes our taxpayer-funded Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC)— once a much loved ‘Aunty’ of the Australian people.

While TNI claims to promote democracy and freedom, its real purpose appears to be global information control.   The video below created by Steve Kirsch’s Vaccine Safety Research Foundation summarises the concerns.

The Source of ‘Fake News’

In March 2020, the TNI publicly announced that their industry collaboration of major news and tech organisations will work together to rapidly identify and stop the spread of harmful Coronavirus disinformation….. We’ll do everything we can, working together, to stop disinformation about Coronavirus in its tracks.

As we reflect on the last 3 years, what we have experienced at the hands of the TNI are just some of the following—

• Suppression of early treatment strategies such as Vit C, D, sunlight, Ivermectin etc.  
• The ONLY treatment available pre-vaccines were lockdowns, stay home, wear a mask, segregate from family & community.
• Prestigious experts from around the world (even those from Harvard, Stanford and Oxford etc) who dared question were banned, deplatformed and brutally character assassinated
• Suppression of any information that contradicted the mandate to ‘get the jab’.
• A deliberate fuelling of ‘hatred & vitriol’ toward those that questioned masks, lockdowns, experimental gene-altering drugs etc

Fast-forward nearly 3 years, what we have have seen is that TNI has been the source of the very ‘fake news’ that it claims to combat.  And in short, people have died or suffered serious injury due to the inability to access/know about early treatment, or unwittingly took a gene-altering medication which they were told ‘was safe & effective’, yet has shown to be anything but!

Even this week the prestigious Cochrane Library published a Report that unequivocally stated that: 

We included 12 trials (10 cluster‐RCTs) comparing medical/surgical masks versus no masks to prevent the spread of viral respiratory illness (two trials with healthcare workers and 10 in the community). Wearing masks in the community probably makes little or no difference to the outcome of influenza‐like illness (ILI)/COVID‐19 like illness compared to not wearing masks (risk ratio (RR) 0.95, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.84 to 1.09; 9 trials, 276,917 participants; moderate‐certainty evidence. Wearing masks in the community probably makes little or no difference to the outcome of laboratory‐confirmed influenza/SARS‐CoV‐2 compared to not wearing masks (RR 1.01, 95% CI 0.72 to 1.42; 6 trials, 13,919 participants; moderate‐certainty evidence). Harms were rarely measured and poorly reported (very low‐certainty evidence).

I said this from the very beginning, virus’s are minutely small and can easily pass through masks— I learnt this during my health studies nearly 3 decades ago!  In addition, masks worn by the general public in everyday settings and for hours on end up being petrie dishes for bacteria as well as reduce immunity (via lack of oxygen) of the wearer.

Litigation against TNI

Robert F Kennedy Jr of Children’s Health Defence have filed a first-in-the-country antitrust lawsuit against members of the Trusted News Initiative (TNI) for collusively censoring online news.

The TNI exists to, in its own words, “choke off” and “stamp out” online news reporting that the TNI or any of its members peremptorily deems “misinformation.” TNI members have targeted and suppressed completely accurate online reporting by non-mainstream news publishers concerning both COVID-19 (on matters including treatments, immunity, lab leak, vax injury, and lockdowns/mandates) and U.S. elections (such as the Hunter Biden laptop story).

Federal antitrust law prohibits firms from colluding to deny critical facilities or market access to rivals. Such agreements are called “group boycotts,” and they are per se illegal. The TNI is a massive group boycott. Since 2020, it has successfully denied critical market facilities—i.e., the world’s dominant social media platforms—to rival news publishers whose reporting competes with and challenges TNI orthodoxy. Under antitrust law, the victims of a group boycott—like the Plaintiffs in our case—are entitled to treble damages.

Moreover, CHD with this lawsuit aims to vindicate the freedom of speech and of the press. The Defendants are the BBC, The Washington Post, the Associated Press, and Reuters.

The interesting question for us in Australia is, where does that put our previously beloved ABC?

As noted in Quandrant, the ABC has copped unexpected blowback in its collaborations to enforce censorship about COVID failures, US election-rigging and climate “emergencies”. Last November ABC joined the BBC’s Trusted News Initiative (TNI), a consortium of Big Media and Big Tech global players. TNI’s gatekeeping goal concerning “misinformation” (i.e. contrary to the official line) is to flag it in real time, coordinate members internally and alert Big Tech’s enforcers to stamp it

As Tony Thomas noted in his Quandrant post, If Kennedy wins, the consequences are uncertain for the ABC, fellow-travelling TNI member SBS and other TNI members not named as defendants. The suit says— Each participant in an antitrust conspiracy is jointly and severally liable for all the damages (including treble damages and attorneys’ fees) caused by the conspiracy, and the victims of an unlawful antitrust conspiracy are not required to sue all participants therein. (My emphasis, p93).

Example of the ABC’s appalling Journalism

On January 27 of this year, Lara Tingle of the ABC’s 7.30 Report interviewed ‘experts’ to discuss our nations COVID strategy, because in their words— ‘…the virus continues to run rampant, making a lot of Australians sick and killing many…’. 

Unfortunately the interview with Professor Brendan Crabb from Melbourne’s Burnet Institute; Associate Professor Nada Hamad, a frontline doctor now suffering from long COVID; and economist Richard Denniss from The Australia Institute, sounded more like an advertorial than real discovery journalism.

Below is a running commentary of the interview dissecting its contents for factual information— the panelists include Prof Ted Steel, Tony Nikolic, Elizabeth Hart and Phillip Altman.     As stated by Phillip Altman— the ABC advertorial which was necessary to help bolster the flagging sales of the dangerous COVID so-called “vaccines”.
