January 2015 – Lunar Cycles & Energetics

The moon and its position within our celestial sky holds a powerful frequency that affects our day to day beingness here on Earth. The moons electro-magnetic influence as it waxes and wanes each month effects our physiology, our emotional/mental responses and spiritual potential.

The energy from the New Moon up to the Full Moon is gradually building in strength and intensity; thus the New Moon is a great time to set your intentions, write down goals or begin new projects for the forthcoming cycle. Consider sitting in ceremony or personal meditation and affirming to the Universe your intentions & inner-most heartfelt desires for the cycle.

From Full Moon to the New Moon the energy is gradually decreasing in strength and intensity… thus is a time to release and let go of any areas in your life that no longer serve your higher purpose. The Full Moon is a perfect time to connect in ceremony (personal or group), light a candle and release/transmute through sacred ritual that which no longer serves.

Moon – past, Intuition, unconscious, emotions, nurturing, feelings
Sun – now, Identity, consciousness, self-esteem, expression
Cancer (water) – nurturing, family, sensitive, emotional, moody, psychic
Capricorn (Earth) – Practical, realist, reliable, hard worker, cautious

This full moon emotions will be high… but provides a powerful opportunity to really let go of our fears around control, government, power, authority and realise that your fear is what creates/ maintains your reality.

It is a time to create your world from the inside out. Rather than focus on the pain of the planet, focus your energy/emotions on a vision of a new world, a place of peace, joy and unity… and set the foundations in place for the future.

Little note to my friends…with the long days/nights inprep for my Spirited-Travellers tour… I missed the fact that on the 20th January 10:59 pm AESDT the moon moved into Aquarius, thus the full moon blossomed in Aquarius 15 mins later at 11:14 pm (not Capricorn) as I previously advised. Oops showing my humanness… and well need for sleep ! No comment at all here from my husband for not wearing my glasses 🙂

This New Moon falls in Aquarius – creating an energy of visionary, enlightened thoughts for our personal life, our families and our community.

This New Moon will be a time to reflect on why we are here, and finding new ways to how we can lead authentic lives.

Call upon this Lunar energy to embrace the true meaning of why you are here on Earth at this time.. and most importantly ACT upon your higher visions.

This New Moon is also a Super Moon !
