Our June 2020 New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse takes place at zero degrees Cancer, representing the converging of timelines and an opening of New Possibilities.  Whilst I feel in my heart the immense LOVE imbedded within this New Moon Eclipse, like every birth & new beginning there is also the inevitable death of aspects needing to fall away.

This fierce yet tender Solar Eclipse (love that paradox), offers a reverently truthful & honest insight into the deepest aspects of you, and how your present maybe a product of your past, or unconscious situations /circumstances /imprinting /beliefs.  Eclipses are catalysts of change, so don’t be afraid to feel deeply this Eclipse, and drink in all she has to offer in service of glorious you.  The Great Shift is upon us, and it is up to YOU/US to navigate this new way forward.

With so many aspects influencing this New Moon – including our Solstice preceding our New Moon, Galactic Centre on the Ascendant, Mars conjunct Neptune squaring Moon, Solar Eclipse, Solstice & Jupiter-Pluto conjunct (just to name a few), this is a powerfully transcendent New Moon that will most likely be felt for a very long time indeed.

New Moon in Cancer

As the Moon & Sun come together in the same astrological sign on a New Moon, New Moons are all about setting intentions for the forthcoming 29 day lunar cycle.  For our June 2020 New Moon, the Moon & Sun are in the Astrological Sign of CANCER.

Cancer is a Water sign and is ruled by the Moon, hence our New Moon heralds an emotional wave of nurturing, some tender ‘mothering’ and a gentle soft respite into ourselves.  In light of the incredible upheal/shifts/changes that have been taking place this year, may be this ‘mothering’ is a kind & wise reminder we need at this time.  And since this New Moon is also a Annular SOLAR ECLIPSE, it maybe felt more fiercely tender than usual !

This Cancer new moon is a time to feel deeply into yourself and give love to every nuance, action, thought and feeling.  Simply rejoice in yourself, and acknowledge yourself as already whole and complete… you are simply LOVE!   With so much disconnection, separation, and fractured relationships in the world at this time, this Moon reminds us that in order to move forward, we need to embody jewels that bring us together.   Kindness.  Compassion.  Reverently listening to others stories without condemnation.  Seeking solutions/actions born out of LOVE rather than retaliated through fear.   Owning the stories of the past, and together emerging and co-creating a new story of our future.

Cancer relates to HOME, your ancestry, your roots – taking us deep into reflections on how our Earthly home needs to be nourished and nurtured in reverence to the past, but also in regenerative ways for our future.    Cancer also relates to your own HOME, feeling at home within yourself, comfortable within your own skin, and feeling safe and secure.

With our Eclipse New Moon sitting opposite Galactic Centre, the Heart/Home of our Milky Way Galaxy, the birthplace of our Souls, we are being drawn to re-evaluate how we are living at HOME here on Earth… are we serving our Soul’s highest aspirations & living ON-PURPOSE toward our greater evolutionary purpose?

With Mars (energy, uprising), conjuncting Neptune (breaking through the illusion) and making an uncomfortable square to our Solar Eclipse, new revelations about the Story of Earth with be ignited.   Whilst this aspect may deeply inspire & uplift the actions you take in Earth’s eLVOEution that is well under way, it also may bring confusion to many – as sense of feeling lost in ‘too many stories, who do I believe, no longer knowing what/what is right/wrong’.

And therein lies the magic.  Where in your life have you given away your power, given away your intuitive insight, given away your energy in order to conform to a story that in fact you were never comfortable with?  This insightful New Moon will help you reclaim ownership of your life.  A call to action of where/how you are now guided to place your energy in order to facilitate social justice.   Your energy need not come from fighting a war (Mars), but rather a solidarity & purposeful vision that serves a cause much greater than yourself.  United. Rising. Together.

With Venus (Divine Feminine) in a weak conjunction with Alcyone (higher Octave of Venus, Divine Feminine), and Mercury (communication), in conjunction with Sirius (Divine Masculine)… the conversation around duality, taking sides, ‘fighting’ for a cause, and going to ‘war’ over what you believe in will be challenged.

If we are to come to a place of ownership of the injustices within our world, and find a way to reconcile and join together in the co-creation of a new enlightened story of WE… then HOW we go about being this change makes all the difference.  Sacred Activism seeks to heal.  Seeks to listen.  Seeks to understand.  Seeks to unify.  As we focus on HOME this New Moon… where are our words, our thoughts, our angered responses (I am talking about social media here), causing hurt, separation & tearing apart of Global Families home ?

Annular Solar Eclipse in Cancer

Our June New Moon is an Annular Solar Eclipse – the third eclipse so far this year, however the only Annular Solar Eclipse 2020… I will explain what an Annular Eclipse is in a minute!  And this enlightening Eclipse is sandwiched between the Immeasurable Sagittarius Lunar Eclipse that took place on the 6 June, and our upcoming Capricorn Lunar Eclipse (the last of our series of Cancer-Cap Eclipses) coming up on the 5 July 2020.  And it takes place mere hours after the ‘One Light, One Love – June 2020 Solstice‘.

Solar Eclipses occur on the New Moon, whereby the Moon moves between the Earth and Sun, obscuring Earth’s view of the Sun – hence the Sun, Moon & Earth are in a straight line.  The energy of a Solar Eclipse ‘obscures’ our vision forward, such that we can take time to reflect on the present and truthfully see how this relates to our past. The insights gained are not about dragging up old energy, or reliving painful events or experiences, but rather to positively reassess where you have been and use this knowledge to make quantum leaps on your path moving forward.

An Annular Solar Eclipse is where the Sun appears behind the Moon as a very bright ring of light (an annulus or ring of fire) around the dark disk of the Moon, as the apparent size of the Moon is smaller than that of the Sun.  From the vantage point of Earth (see if you can see this Solar Eclipse) the moon will cover up to 90% of the Sun.

Whilst this eclipse is extraordinarily powerful, it doesn’t have to be a horrendous experience of loss, despair, struggle and inner-turmoil.  You have a choice to experience this eclipse with a heightened or awakened vision of divine potential.  Use the ‘fire’ of the annular eclipse to burn off the old facets of life that are coming to light. 

We learn more about HOME and our place within it, through this powerful Cancer Moon Solar Eclipse – which in fact is the second last eclipse within our 2018-2020 series of Cancer-Capricorn Eclipses.   Cancer relates to HOME, your ancestry, your roots – taking us deep into reflections on how our Earthly home needs to be nourished and nurtured in reverence to the past, but also in regenerative ways for our future.  Capricorn relates to your practical & grounded goals, the grander vision for your life, and the steps you take toward your future.

You could say that this Eclipse is unifying in that it is helping us to ‘see’ how we can build bridges between polarities – through Cancer & Capricorn.   Feminine (Cancer) & Masculine (Capricorn). Child & Parent. Ancestral Story & Emerging Story.  Mother Nature & Future Development.

What needs to change ?

What shifts need to happen in our personal & collective values ?

What structures, ideologies, beliefs are calling to be shattered in order to make way for a NEW ERA in nourishing, loving & regenerating Earth ?

What does HOME mean to us, and how do we serve the HOMEs of Community, Society & our Global Family ?

Are we living our values when it comes to serving HOME ?

In Summary

This year is certainly a pivotal moment in our Earthly Story.   As I mentioned in my 20:20 New Beginnings post, “A HUGE shift happening as we transition into the 3rd decade of this century. Change is happening, and it is happening fast. We are entering into a NEW ERA of life here on Earth.”  This current Eclipse window is drawing us into the Home of our Hearts.  To see within us a grander story of what is possible when we envision & choose to work toward a new story that reveres ALL life on Earth (not just a select few) and is built upon foundations of individual sovereignty. 

With the second Pluto-Jupiter-Pallas conjunction coming up on the 30 June, I feel that this Cancer Solar Eclipse is deepening the story of this once every 248 year Pluto-Jupiter conjunction.  As I discussed during our April 2020 Jupiter-Pluto-Pallas conjunction…

“Are we prepared to plant seeds into the fertile ground of this moment that will flourish a New Earth Story ? By prepared I mean, not planting seeds into the putrid decay of the ‘old system, structure & rules’.  Prepared means rising up to being a fierce warrior of enlightened vision. Having the courage to stand up and challenge the systems that are day-by-day chaining us to the past. And planting our seeds into the Dream, the Soul of life itself… sprouting New LIFE born of our collective Hearts.”

This is EXACTLY what this New Moon Solar Eclipse can/will inspire within us.  A time to hold each other, to lift each other up, share your gifts, to stand strong & support one-another as we get through this together.  Remember we are better together, and only as strong as the weakest link.   The shadow is being unmasked, the veil is lifting, Earth is healing… and us beautiful humans are on the event horizon of co-creating a New Earth Story.   BE LOVE.
