Energy of our LEO New Moon

Our August New Moon falls in the Zodiac sign of Leo a Fire Sign, which is ruled by the Sun. 

New Moons about new beginnings.   And with the Moon in Leo, we are called to fully embrace all that we have felt in our Hearts during the Lion’s Gateway.  To have the courage to own our LIGHT.  Value ourselves, our personal beliefs.  To know with whole heart that we are worthy, and that our TRUTH matters… even when the world may seek to keep you and your voice small.  To step-up to ALL that you know/feel yourself to be in your Heart.

Our Leo New Moon is about letting go of the comparison, judgement, expectations that society/friends/family maybe placing upon you during this year of Great Awakening… and making the choice not to dim the uniqueness that is YOU.  To look deep within your Heart this New Moon, find your voice, own your personal sovereignty… and don’t hold back in sharing your message with whole-heart.

New Moon Numerology – 21 & 22

Our New Moon here in Australia falls on the 19 August 2020, a 22 energy day in numerology.  And in other places in the world, the New Moon may fall on the 18 August, a 21 energy day in numerology.

The best way to tune into our Leo New Moon, is to reflect on THE WORLD card of the Tarot.  The World is Card number 21 in the Tarot, which is also 22nd Card of the Tarot’s Major Arcana (as the 1st Card is The Fool at Card ‘0’).   Apart from Numerology, The World card also divinely describes the energy of our August Leo New Moon.

In the Tarot ‘The World‘ Card, you have a woman high in the sky, wearing a jewel encrusted crown on her head, reflecting back on the past, as she prepares to make the leap into the future, a new cycle.  She is dancing in the sky, her legs crossed representing the ‘cross’ of life, the four directions.  A wreath of nature (Yoni) surrounds her, which is encrusted with red infinity ties top and bottom. And the four fixed signs of the Zodiac – the four elements – are supporting her (Leo, Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius).   She is holding double pointed wands in each hand, and her naked body is entwined is a silver/purple fibonacci spiraled scarf. 

This card evokes the grandest potential of this months Leo New Moon, as well as the energy that takes us into the later part of 2020.

The World, our World during 2020 is waking up to the naked truth.  Each of us are standing on the precipice of great change.  We feel it deeply with the Spiral Helix of our DNA.

We are currently between worlds.  Cognisant of the wrongdoings of the past and endowed with an awakened vitality to make the leap into a New World.  A new cycle, a joyful future, as we joyously dance with nature, with life, with the elements.

The Feminine is rising.  She wears the Crown (corona) of Wisdom.  Her dual white wands, represent the opposite ends of polarity – night & day, left & right, right and wrong.  With a wand in each hand, she takes our awareness to a higher place, rising up above polarising views, guiding us to discover solutions that unite us.  We make the leap together ‘as above, so below’ when we unite in the red Heart of Unified Consciousness.            

As she (we) dance to life’s rhythm, we surrender to the infinite cycles of life, within an infinite universe.  Eternal flow.  There is death, but also rebirth.  There are endings, but also beginnings.  The circle of life is infinite.   Each breath is in fact a rebirth through the Yoni of the Divine Mother, and each lifetime is forever entwined through the silver cords/threads of Spirit.

Whilst this dancing woman is about to make the leap into a whole new cycle, notice there is no solid ground beneath her feet or possessions in her care.  She is free of mind, free of stuff, free of heart.   She calls upon the mystical elements of life, through every direction of time/space to guide her passage.  Nothing is yet written on the other side, just pure potentiality awaits.

This Sacred Woman has now come of age.  Its her 21st and as she enters her Master Number 22 year, she is called to own herself.  To not be under a spell or story of the past, but rather to transform her Life/The World by believing in her innate power to be a force of change through the Divine.

Bringing this all together, this New Moon in Leo is about making space for yourself to open your Mind, shine a LIGHT on Truth and prepare yourself to pioneer a new cycle as you joyous dance with the reLOVEutionary cycles of life.

New Moon – Astro Aspects

There are a few aspecting planets that are flavouring our August 2020 Leo New Moon.

Mercury is close by the New Moon, guiding us to become discerning about all the ‘noise’ out in the world, and to consider where we get our information from.   Switching off the news, doing your own research, and ultimately looking into your Heart to find the truth.  Trust those gut instincts.  What does your inner pilot light bring to your awareness this New Moon.

With so many planets/asteroids retrograde in this moment – Vesta, Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn, Ceres, Neptune, Chiron, Uranus, including the North & South Lunar Nodes – deep deep inner-work is calling to you this New Moon – for the choices/discoveries you make now, will colour your experiences of the remainder of 2020.

Mars is a strong and firey participant on this New Moon.  Mars is at a trine with the Moon (120 degrees apart), and at a square with both Saturn & Pluto (90 degrees apart).

The fire in your belly is strong, and if directed from a place of WHOLE-HEART, you have the energy, resourcefulness, illuminated vision to shatter the old and flow forward a new.  However, for those that are too in their heads, or cut-off from their Hearts through fear, the Mars energy/aspects may cause friction, raise tempers, and create more of a war mentality. 

Above all, this New Moon is above liberation and transformation through LIGHT.
