I loved the discussion during this interview on the term ‘The Great Awakening’. It’s a term that gets bantered around, without deep consideration of it’s meaning. I agree with Zach, I am not a fan of this term when used in the context of a paradigm of something external to us, something ‘out there’ that we are longing to achieve. This only gives a false sense of security, and becomes a meaningless pursuit. And ultimate seeks to further the divide as our ego’s classify those that are ‘awake’ and those that are ‘asleep’.
Personally, I love the term ‘The Great Awakening’ when used in the context of personal growth, connection, kindness & a desire to be of service to a world more beautiful. The Great Awakening is NOT something that is achieved externally, but rather is a personal expansion into who we really are as Souls having a human experience. Our individual awakening is what drives the collective awakening… hence your desire isn’t push the collective (or shame those who aren’t awake), but rather to take self-responsibility for YOU, which ultimate serves the collective.
