Our Total Solar Eclipse in Leo is a powerful threshold of release, renewal and radiant becoming. As the outer Sun is momentarily veiled, we are invited to turn inward and reconnect with the eternal Light of the Heart, releasing outdated identities, the need for approval and the ways we have performed or diminished ourselves to belong.

With Mercury and Jupiter also in Leo, this eclipse amplifies courageous self-expression, expansive creativity and the confidence to share our gifts more authentically. We may not yet see the entire path ahead, but we are being asked to trust what is awakening within, follow what brings us alive and allow our unique Light to serve something greater.

This is not about becoming someone new; it is about remembering the magnificent Light that has been within you all along. ✨

The Light Within Can No Longer Be Hidden

In the early hours of Thursday morning, we welcome our powerful Total Solar Eclipse and New Moon at 20° Leo.

Occurring globally on 12/13 August, the eclipse reaches its astrological peak at approximately 3:46am AEST, 13 August. The path of totality sweeps across Greenland, Iceland, northern Spain and parts of Portugal… though it energetic potency knows no boundary!

And what divine timing.

Only days after our 8:8 Sirian {Lions Gateway}, the Moon crosses the face of the Sun in the sign of Leo, briefly veiling the outer light so that we may more deeply encounter The Light Within.

A Sacred Interruption

A Solar Eclipse is an intensified New Moon. It marks the ending of one energetic cycle and the seeding of another, opening pathways beyond what our minds could have imagined.

Eclipses have a rather magic way of rearranging the cosmic furniture. Just when we believe everything is exactly where it belongs, the Universe moves the sofa, opens a forgotten window and reveals a doorway that apparently has been there all along.

During a Solar Eclipse, the Moon temporarily conceals the Sun. Symbolically, our familiar sense of identity, direction and certainty may also be obscured. We may not yet see the whole path ahead, but that does not mean the path is absent.

This is not necessarily the moment to demand answers, cement in certainty or rush into a beautifully colour-coded five-year plan. Eclipse energy is liminal and mysterious. It invites us to become quiet enough to feel what is shifting beneath the surface.

Something is ending.

Something is awakening.

And something within you may be preparing to step into the Light.

The Leo–Aquarius Eclipse Story Begins

This is the first Solar Eclipse since the Lunar Nodes shifted onto the Aquarius–Leo axis, opening a new eclipse story that will continue unfolding over the coming eighteen months.

With the South Node in Leo, this eclipse is not simply asking us to become louder, brighter or more visible. It invites us to release the old ways we have learned to perform for love, approval or belonging.

Where have you been shining because you felt you had something to prove?

Where have you made yourself smaller because being fully seen once felt unsafe?

Where have you confused recognition with worth, or applause with love?

Leo is associated with creativity, courage, joy, sovereignty, play and the radiant expression of the authentic Self. Yet its shadow may seek validation from outside itself, believing it must be impressive, perfect or endlessly sparkling to deserve a place in the room.

This eclipse gently reminds us that true radiance is not a performance.

Your Light does not need to compete.

Your worth does not rise and fall according to how many people notice you.

You do not need to roar every moment to prove that you are a Lion. Sometimes the deepest courage is a quiet, unwavering willingness to remain true to your Heart.

From Personal Radiance to Collective Light

The Leo–Aquarius axis invites us to explore the sacred relationship between the individual Heart and the greater collective.

Leo asks: What is uniquely mine to express?

Aquarius asks: How might this expression serve something greater than me?

We are not being asked to surrender our individuality to the collective, nor to shine solely for personal recognition. We are learning to become wholehearted individuals whose gifts naturally enrich the greater field.

Your Light matters, but it was never meant to end with you.

A song changes the person who hears it. A loving word shifts the atmosphere of a room. An idea becomes a movement. One coherent Heart quietly influences another.

As I have shared through our Lions Gateway teachings, each of us is an extraordinary spark of Light within our home, family and community. When these sparks consciously connect, they become a living constellation of consciousness around the Earth.

This Eclipse asks us to become less concerned with being the centre of attention and more devoted to being a clear, loving and authentic centre of Light.

How You May Experience This Eclipse

In the days surrounding the eclipse, you may feel:

• A heightened sensitivity or need for quiet
• A desire to withdraw from noise, comparison or external expectations
• An old identity, role or creative direction beginning to feel complete
• Strong emotions around visibility, recognition or belonging
• A renewed longing for joy, play and heartfelt self-expression
• Unexpected clarity about what no longer feels authentic
• A deep inner stirring, even if you cannot yet put it into words
• Physical tiredness as your body integrates the changing energy

You do not need to turn every feeling into an immediate decision. Some eclipse revelations arrive as a whisper and take several months to reveal their full meaning.

When the Light Returns

A Total Solar Eclipse reminds us that darkness can pass directly across the face of the Sun without ever extinguishing it.

The Light remains.

And so do you.

As we move through this sacred Leo threshold, may you release the need to prove your radiance and begin to live it. May you remember that your creativity is sacred, your joy is medicine and your authentic presence is already contributing to the greater field.

The world does not need a more polished version of you.

It needs the warmth of your real Heart.
It needs the gift that only you can bring.

And perhaps this eclipse is not here to make you into someone new at all. Perhaps it is simply drawing back the curtain, allowing the magnificent Light Within to finally be remembered, embodied and shared.
