Full Moon {partitial} Lunar Eclipse – July 16/17, 2019

Our July 2019 FULL MOON {partial} Lunar Eclipse opens a window into yourself, the part that you don’t show to the world, the emotional and deepest part of your psyche.   The word ECLIPSE comes from the Greek word “ekleipsis” meaning “to abandon, to leave, to vanish” – and that’s exactly what we may experience during this weeks Lunar Eclipse – the desire to surrender and let go of parts of our self that limit our greater potential.

With the Moon in Capricorn & the Sun in Cancer this Full Moon Eclipse, expect many HEARTFUL REALISATIONS about your life. Anything that is too rigid, controlled, or inflexible may not actually serve you in the longer term. Is you life contributing in nourishing ways to something greater than you ? Or is your life stuck in a ground-hog day of routine & survival ? This Capricorn-Cancer Lunar Eclipse is calling you to let go of anything that inhibits your creativity, your individual soul song, anything/anyone that dims the luminosity & intensity of your light.

It was freeeeezing cold… but oh so worth it to catch the beginning of the Lunar Eclipse just before the Moon set over the horizon. My darling @shamat04 captured this photo for me (whilst I live streamed from my phone… check out my Insta Story for today). Connecting to nature, the elements, the stars, the moon… really takes you to a place of incredible joy. To experience the miracle of life, cycles, death-rebirth, endings-beginnings… the small stuff (like my big long ‘to-do’ list) really pales in comparison to the REAL meaning of LIFE – her grandeur & onmipresence. Feeling very much alive, in love & in joy today. Click on my LINKin Bio too to read about the energy of today, which in fact will ripple out & be felt over the next 6 months. #lunareclipse #noosa #lunareclipseincapricorn #lunareclipse2019 #lunareclipseaustralia #lightrition #eclipse #omnipresence #dontsweatthesmallstuff #joy #nature #feelingalive #starrywisdom #lunarwisdom

During a Full Moon, the Moon is sitting opposite the Sun and is hence being fully illuminated by the light of the Sun. Hence the Moon & Sun are on opposite sides of the zodiac… which can make for a challenging or intense aspect of energy but also a very potent potential as the Lunar & Solar (yin & yang) are in natural harmonic balance.

Whilst the energy of a Full Moon can cause tension & uncomfortable friction (where do you think the name ‘lunatic’ came from), at the same time a Full Moon can ignite a greater amplification of vision & potential possibility.  And this will be felt even MORE strongly this Full Moon as we are also graced with a LUNAR {partial} ECLIPSE.

For this weeks Full Moon, the Moon at 24 degrees CAPRICORN is reflecting the light of the Sun at 24 degrees CANCER (see diagram below).

The Moon (our inner-world) in Capricorn is hardworking and gets things done.  Capricorn has a vision, rolls it’s sleaves up and is prepared to do the hard-yards to reach its goal.   Capricorn can however get a little too caught in process at times, or even maybe a little bit too rigid in executing the ‘plan’.  Remember Capricorn, all work & no play makes Jack a dull boy !

The Moon in Capricorn, is being balanced by the Sun (our outer-world) in Cancer.   Cancer is the sign of the Sacred Feminine, the creative Mother energy and the nurturer.  Tenderness, lightness… and bringing an intuitive/creatively playful edge to the more rigid Capricorn Moon.

But what is really taking our July Full Moon to the next level is that we have both a {partial} LUNAR ECLIPSE which is conjunct PLUTO in Capricorn, plus  SIRIUS is conjunct VENUS in Cancer.   In addition to South Node & Saturn both in Capricorn (near the Moon) and North Node & Venus conjunct in Cancer.

LUNAR {partial} Eclipse in Capricorn

Lunar Eclipses & Solar Eclipses come in pairs, and just two weeks ago we had the New Moon TOTAL Solar Eclipse- whereby the Moon moved between the Earth and Sun, obscuring Earth’s view of the Sun.

Now this week on the FULL Moon, we have a {partial} Lunar Eclipse– whereby the Earth will pass between the Sun & the Moon, blocking the Suns rays from FULLY reaching the Moon… thus the Moon will be partially cast within Earth’s shadow.    Here is a map of who will be able to see the eclipse (sorry Australian friends, we miss out)… but essentially this eclipse may be seen from most of Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean & the Antartica.

This weeks Lunar Eclipse is not only the first Lunar Eclipse of 2019, but also the last in a series of interesting Leo/Aquarius Eclipses… I will get back to that in a moment!

If the Moon is fully in Earth’s shadow, why then does the Moon appear RED during an Eclipse ?
The reason the Moon appears RED when it is cast within the shadow of Earth is because of Earth’s atmosphere.  During the alignment of the Sun, Earth & Moon, light from the Sun glimmers through Earth’s atmosphere (atmosphere extends approximately 80km above the Earth) & the green-to-blue light of the visible light spectrum is filtered out, giving way to the deeper orangey-red tones of the spectrum.    This reddish light is then refracted to the surface of the Moon.  Amazing huh!

Energetically during our Lunar Eclipse, as the Moon is fully partially in Earth’s shadow (ie unable to reflect the I AM Light of the Sun), a window opens and we are drawn into ourselves, the part that we don’t show to the world, the emotional and deepest part of our psyche.   The word ECLIPSE comes from the Greek word “ekleipsis” meaning “to abandon, to leave, to vanish” – and that’s exactly what we may experience during a Lunar Eclipse – the desire to surrender and let go of parts of our self that limit our greater potential.

A Lunar Eclipse provides a powerful opportunity to release deep-seated wounds, move beyond old fears and to transcend negative patterns or traits within the shadow self. It is time to ECLIPSE anything that maybe holding you back.   With the Moon in CAPRICORN during the Eclipse, we will be drawn to look at the structures in our life, the architecture or framework of lives such as our work, our family life, our relationships & our community.

A time of BIG HEARTFUL REALISATIONS that anything that is too rigid, controlled, or inflexible may not actually serve you in the longer term.
The world stage is waiting for YOU/US to step up & serve… by simply being the grandest version of YOU/US.

PLUTO, SIRIUS, VENUS, North & South Nodes

As I mentioned above, in addition to a {partial} LUNAR ECLIPSE…  this FULL MOON is also  being influenced by Moon conjunct PLUTO in Capricorn, plus  SIRIUS is conjunct VENUS in Cancer.   In addition to South Node & Saturn both in Capricorn (near the Moon) and North Node & Venus conjunct in Cancer.

For a full discussion of these aspects and an intuitive understanding of their significance, please see my video at the top of this page.

In Summary….

Looking ahead, we have two more sets of Eclipses over 2019 & 2020, that involve the play of Cancer-Capricorn:

Capricorn Solar Eclipse – December 2019
Cancer Lunar Eclipse – January 2020
Cancer Solar Eclipse – June 2020
Cancer Lunar Eclipse – July 2020

This two year theme is all about letting go of too much structure (by that I mean CONTROL) & moving into a softer space of imagination, dreaming, intuition & nurturing.  YES…. an expansive flow of the FEMININE.

OmAhOm,
xx Simone
