Remember back to when you were 14 ?
What aspirations did you have for life ?
What did you want for the world ?
Did you feel you could make a difference?
Sometimes I try to put myself in the shoes of the youth today… young school children… and how they must feel growing up in a world of such uncertainty.
The barrage of negativity in the media, the threat of war and the real uncertainty as to the survival of the human species… how does this affect the psyche, the consciousness of our children of today ?
What must it be like growing up into a world where Governments and Corporations are selling their ‘Souls’ in the name of development and progression…. will little or no regard to the survival of our planet for the next generation… THEIR GENERATION ?
What I have come to understand and witness first hand is that the children of today are our future of tomorrow. They are born ‘awakened’, born untainted by old memes and paradigms that our worlds current structures are bound by. They ‘see’ a different tomorrow, they challenge the status quo and they won’t be ‘told’ how to live their lives as they seek freedom to live from their heart-n-souls.
Is it any wonder then that we see the ‘old school’ try to drug the children of today and try to suppress their unique gifts in ‘sausage mill’ education. Whilst conformity and control may have worked in the past… this has no role in the future and in actual fact will only serve to force a REVOLUTION in these new awakened children!
Last week my 14 year old son had to write a one page essay on ‘The Future I Want’. Below I have posted a copy of what he wrote. In my heart I know the children of today will change the world… it is up to us to support them in any way we can and be there for them to ‘BE THE CHANGE’ 🙂
