I have LOVED TED Talks ever since they crossed my path many many years ago now… and I have even been privileged to have attended a couple of LIVE TED conferences here in Australia.
I came across this TED Talk this week… and just had to share as I felt it so very relevant in the lead up to our September New Moon Solar eclipse.
How to stop screwing yourself over – Mel Robbins is a married working mother of three, an ivy-educated criminal lawyer, and one of the top career and relationship experts in America. Widely respected for her grab-’em-by-the-collar advice and tough love, Robbins drills through the mental clutter that stands between people and what they want.
I love this video because Mel doesn’t hold back and her blunt in your face attitude cuts through all the excuses and really makes a point… we all have CHOICE… what do you choose ? This isn’t once of this soft and cuddly talks, this is a practical ‘take a good look at yourself & be responsible’ kinda talks. Sometimes we need this inspiration every once in a while.

Once I watched the video… I then went on a tangent of further investigative work (like you do) to find out more about Mel’s quote of 1:400 trillion miracle of being born to this life.
Here is a great link to an Article by Ali Binazir (who actually attended Mel’s live TED Talk). Ali dives into the mathematics of the probability of you being born, even coming up with a figure of 1:700 trillion according to buddhist wisom.
PLUS.. I am listening to a great audio book at the moment ‘Our Mathematical Universe‘ by Max Tegmark… and according to his work… the probability for you being alive today in a holographic universe is just 1 ! Just some food for thought over our eclipse week.
