Plutos takes 248 years to transit the Zodiac— whenever Pluto enters a new sign, humanity/society enters into a entirely new phase. The frequency shift is often huge!
We have experienced a insightful glimpse of Aquarian energy over 2020-23 with both Saturn & Jupiter having transited through Aquarius— a little setting of the scene & sweet taste of the HUGE changes that will be in store over the next two decades!
Pluto & the Past
The last time Pluto transited Aquarius was between 1778 to 1798. During the period the American Constitution was written— ‘We the People’ ring the resounding bells of what Pluto in Aquarius is all about— taking back power from structures outside of ourselves, such as Royalty, Governments & other controlling hierarchical structures. By 1783 United States stopped accepting English convicts, and instead England established a new colony here in Australia in 1787— the trauma of the invasion on our originals has ingrained deep wounds which I believe will receive much healing in restorative ways during this next transit of Pluto through Aquarius.
The French Revolution took place during the last Pluto in Aquarius transit, wth the storming of the Bastille in 1798. Catherine the Great came into power in 1762 (Pluto in Capricorn), but transformed Russia during her Pluto in Aquarius rule through to 1796 via education, creativity and the arts.
Looking upon our history of the past, Pluto in Aquarius engages the WE, and the structures that society has in place serve the people they represent.
Going back in time even further, Pluto transited Aquarius between 1532 and 1554. Key highlights from that time are Copernicus defying the Church and advocating that the Earth & Planets revolve around the Sun (at the time it was thought the planets & Sun revolve around the Earth). And extensive reformations/dissolutions of power within the Roman Catholic church as people spoke out about corruption and embodied change.
Pluto & the Present
Now back to the present…
Aquarius governs technology, science, space, social & political structure and progressive ideas and advancements. History shows us it is a time that heralds revolutions in all these areas, ground-breaking discoveries that change life as we know it!
Aquarius is a revolutionary that takes us to places that we haven’t even thought of yet— hence it is hard to image what life will look like by the time Pluto enters Pisces in 2044! Between big leaps in technology & science, entwined with social change, revolutions and political upheaval, Pluto in Aquarius pushes for change that benefit WE the people through redistributions of wealth, power & freedom of choice.
We can anticipate however the emergence of new political parties away from the oligarchy, new advancements in how we move through space, significant changes to genetics, nanotechnology, and trans-humanistic abilities. 4th Industrial Revolution of technology and the push to control vs the peoples uprising for freedom, all intertwined with mind-control for the greater good and AI overtaking peoples jobs during the transition.
Pluto in Aquarius is principled, and does not hesitate to call out injustices, corruption or ventures that further inequality. There is hope with this transit, but like any transit there also lies a potential shadow to be healed & transmuted.
