Warrior Spirit – Full Moon in Libra – March 20/21, 2019

There is something rather beguiling and indelibly powerful about this weeks Full Moon… you could even say a Moon of divine timing, a reverently potent cosmic message for us all.

There is power in the collective.   There is power when when we come together in reverence of one another, letting go of the fear/darkness and BELIEVING in a grander, more beautiful possibility for humanity in our hearts.   When individually (Aries) we see the Light in each other (Libra) we remember we belong to each other, the truth of who we are is LOVE.

The vibrancy of this Months Full Moon is uplifting our experience of International Day of Happiness (20 March), Harmony Day as well as the Spring/Autumn Equinox (21 March) and finally World Water Day (22 March).

And finally, our Full Moon in Libra is the first of two Full Moons in Libra (our April Full Moon is also in Libra – hence a Blue Moon).

The Energy of our LIBRA Full Moon

Moon in LIBRA (0.090) & Sun in ARIES (0.090)

During a Full Moon, the Moon is sitting opposite the Sun, fully illuminated by the light of the Sun. Hence the Moon & Sun are on opposite sides of the zodiac during a Full Moon… which can make for a challenging or intense aspect of energy but also a very potent potential as the Lunar & Solar (yin & yang) are in natural harmonic balance.  Whilst the energy of a Full Moon can cause tension & uncomfortable friction (where do you think the name ‘lunatic’ came from), at the same time a Full Moon can ignite a greater amplification of vision & potential possibility.

For this weeks Full Moon, the Moon at ZERO degrees Libra is reflecting the light of the Sun at ZERO degrees ARIES (see diagram below). When planets are stationed at zero degrees, this represents new beginnings, fresh starts… new streams of potential flowing.

Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac and exudes a wilful independence, a pioneering spirit that presents to us as the feeling of anything is possible.  Aries is ruled by Mars the GOD of war, bloodshed & fighting.   Aries is all about ‘Me’ and what do ‘I’ want.

Opposing this fierce energy is our Libra Moon,  encouraging us to walk our paths in harmony, co-operation & blessed community. Libra is ruled by Venus the GODDESS of Love, beauty & harmony.  Libra is all about ‘Us’ and what do ‘We’ want.

There is a deep calling within all of us this Full Moon to RISEUP and embrace our Inner-Warrior (Aries) and seek to find new ways of connection, resiliency, empathy and togetherness (Libra)… even in the face of our immense differences.     Whilst I am not advocating violence, EggBoi here in Australia is a prime example of saying ‘enough is enough’ in the lead up to this warrior Full Moon.   That racial vilification, separation of peoples based on religious beliefs and ‘blaming’ the atrocities on an individual on immigration policy will NOT be tolerated.

And the day prior to the egging incident, thousands of teenagers across the country walked out of classrooms demanding action on climate change.   YES this is Aries in full glory coming together as a united voice (Libra) to create change!

This Full Moon will be a reflection for each of us to gain clarity on what we stand for AND using our collective voice/actions to create a tsunami of change.

Whilst Chiron conjuncting the Sun this Full Moon is super-charging our Full Moon experience (keep reading below for details), the real biggy for me is the fact that our Super Galactic Centre (SGC) is conjunct our Moon (SCG is at 2 degrees Libra).   As discussed in my Galactic Star Map article:

Our Milky Way Galaxy is part of a local grouping of 50+ Galaxies referred to as the ‘Local Group’.   The Local Group (which includes our Milky Way Galaxy) is then part of an even greater group called the Virgo Super Cluster, which in turn is part of an even greater group called Laniakea Super Cluster.

Whilst our Solar System revolves around the Galactic Centre every 225 Million years, our entire Milky Way Galaxy (including the entire Local Group) revolves around the Super Galactic Centre (SGC) (m-87) of the Virgo Super Cluster over of period of immeasurable years (a number beyond the realm of cognition by human consciousness).

The Super Galactic Centre is located at 20 Libra (tropical) (or 70 Virgo sidereal) and at an approximate distance of 53 Million light years from Earth (1 light year = 9.5 Trillion km).  Whilst the Super Galactic Centre has the mass of 30 trillion times that of our own Sun, 90% of the SGC remains hidden.

Whilst the Galactic Centre influences are individual Soul Evolutionary Purpose, the Super Galactic Centre represents the greater potential of our Higher Collective Consciousness – the Collective Evolutionary Purpose of our Galaxy & Local Group. The Super Galactic Centre draws us into a higher cosmic relationship with the eternal force of creation.  An interweaving, a soul-mate connection as the Feminine & Masculine fully unite as ONE, entwining together in a cosmic DNA spiral of life.

What does this mean for our March Full Moon?   Essentially the Warrior Spirit of this Full Moon is about our COLLECTIVE EVOLUTIONARY PURPOSE… being pioneers/warriors in service to a force greater than ourselves!

There is also an interesting aspect to our Full Moon, with the minor planet CHIRON (the wounded healer) conjunct our Sun at 1 degree ARIES.  When planets are conjunct the energy merges… creating an intense, amplified feel.  Chiron represents the ‘Wounded Healer’, where we hold our deepest wounds, hurts, sorrow & shame in our lives – body, mind & spirit.

Before I talk about the impact of Chiron this Full Moon, let me first talk about Chiron in Aries…

Last month, Chiron moved back into Aries (it had been moving retrograde), where it will transit for the next 8 years. The last two transits of Chiron in Aries: 1919 to 1927 saw the end of WWI, and then 1968 to 1976 the make love not war movement. The theme of Chiron as she transits Aries for 8 years is a humbling of the human spirit – to surrender our ego will & be uplifted by Divine Will. Aries is strong, dynamic & forceful – and through Chiron she is driven to fight for LOVE, HEALING, COMPASSION & EMPATHY and be a force of good within the world. She sees a world more beautiful and takes her core wounding to a higherplace – to serve not just herself, but also nature, the Earth & humanity. During this time new leaders will emerge who are ready to step out of the old ways of the world and be pioneers of co-creating a new era for Earth. Spiritual warriors who are humble, visionary, altruistic and fierce in their vision of uniting our world through the Heart.

Chiron in Aries CONJUNCT our Full Moon is having a powerfully expansive impact this week.  With the Sun amplifying Chiron as it shines its light on our FULL MOON our deepest wounds are coming to the surface for healing.   The Moon in Libra may take you deep into woundings of your childhood, your relationship with Women or the Mothering figures in your life.  As Chiron conjuncts our SUN, the role of Father/Father Figures in our lives, may also rise up to our awareness too.

Did you feel that you were misunderstood as a child ?
Did you feel like the ‘black sheep’, always different from the crowd?
Did you long to be held, accepted, loved ?
Did you yearn to hear the words ‘I Love you’ or ‘you are enough’?
Did you yearn to feel safe?
Did your role models support & encouraging you in loving your body – every bump, curve, and perfect imperfection?
Did your role models encourage you to own your fierce spirit, stand up for what you believe in… to OWN your uniqueness, celebrate it.. and ultimately share it with the world ?

Now today, have you swept your wounds of the past under the carpet ?  Have you soldiered on and not really ever felt into and subsequently let go of your wounds?  Or have you mentally deal with your wounds of the past – but never really process them with Whole-Heart?

This Full Moon is an opportunity to reflect on the story of your wounds and what / how the story has themed your life to date.

With the Sun in Aries (independence, fresh beginnings), this FULL MOON may cast your story in a fresh new light & offer pioneering solutions that weave GRACE into your life moving forward.  You may find that acceptance of the past or forgiveness (self & others) means that the wounds no longer have any hold over you… but rather serve you in delightfully radiant ways.

Our March Full Moon is also the third AND last Full Moon SuperMoon of 2019… setting a powerful theme in place for the remainder of 2019.

It is our amazing diversity (Aries) that creates the whole in balance and harmony (Libra) – so lets all join together in a heartspace this full moon and have gratitude for the amazing array of life on this planet and honour the unity of all creation.

Happiness, Equinox, Harmony & Water

I LOVE how the celebrations / mindful connections this week that will take on a deeper more vibrant hue with our powerful Full Moon.

International Day of Happiness – 20 March
The day prior to our Full Moon is International Happiness Day.. and the theme is:  ‘Happier Together, focusing on what we have in common, rather than what divides us’.   That is the EXACT same theme of our Full Moon – underneath our physical human facade, we are all the same… and united in our commonality we can change the world for the better.

Spring/Autumn Equinox – 21 March
Each year as the Sun enters Aries toward the end of March we have the Autumn Equinox (Southern Hemisphere) and the Spring Equinox (Northern Hemisphere).  Read my Equinox Article for 2019.

As day & night are close to equal length on the Equinox, the Equinox represents our place of transition, that ‘moment’ between the in & out breath, the space between our thoughts/words, the eternal stillness that is present in the simplicity of the present moment.

The Equinox helps us find that stillness, that place of unity, that eternal space that exists within us.   It helps us to find, embrace and become that balance in our lives – balance of the Masculine/Feminine, balance of the Soul/Ego, balance of the Being/Doing, balance of Heaven/Earth and the balance of Spirit/Matter.

Here are some suggestions to help you connect with the energy and celebrate the sacred potential of our March Equinox:

  • Cleaning – This week clean your house, your office, your meditation space, your closet… make space for a fusion of order & balance.  Clutter, unnecessary ‘stuff’ clogs up your life physically/energetically.   Space is need for a rhythm of balance & harmony for flow with Grace & Ease in your life.  Maybe time to get some inspo from Marie Kondo!
  • Detox – At the change of Seasons (ie Equinox) I enjoy starting a detox.  It is my way of preparing my body for a shift in gears, a letting go of the last season, and my way of welcoming in the new.  You could do a juice fast for a day, a week… or maybe just eat a little LIGHTer on the Equinox as your way of gifting more LIGHT into your life as you kick off a new cycle of Spring or Autumn.
  • Journal / Vision Board – In addition to my detox, I also enjoy spending a little time on the Equinox writing & drawing in my journal… and on occasion I may also include some photos of things that I LOVE.   This process helps me to feel into the freshness of the new Season, what do I wish to invite into my life (as well as what do i wish to let go of)… that will ultimately bring more balance, harmony, joy & vitality over coming months.
  • Rhythm & Harmony – Find space this weekend and with wonderment & curiosity connect with the balance & harmony of rhythm in your life.   You could meditate on your breath – focussing on the in & out breath…. and the expansive ONENESS of the space between the breath.   Walk in nature and feel the rhythms of the natural world – how the songs of the birds, the wind in the leaves & ripples of sunlight on the leaves all harmonically create a symphony of life around you.  Sit by the ocean and tune into the rhythms of the waves – particularly the space between the wave coming in and the flow of the wave going out.   Or even wake up early to watch the Sunsrise and later in the day watch the Sunset and feel the expansive ONENESS of the cycles of life both around and through you.

Harmony Day – 21 March
I mentioned at the top of this page that this months Full Moon is powerful… not only in light of the Equinox, but also because is falls on Harmony Day (which has been renamed this year as Harmony Week here in Australia).  Harmony Day/Week is also the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Based on the recent outfall from the shootings in New Zealand and the horrendous attitude of a small minority of people/politicians… Here is a message direct from the Harmony Week website that upholds the TRUTH of who we are through our HEARTS – which is the message of our March Full Moon:

Australia is a vibrant and multicultural country — from the oldest continuous culture of our first Australians to the cultures of our newest arrivals from around the world. Our cultural diversity is one of our greatest strengths and is at the heart of who we are. It makes Australia a great place to live.  An integrated multicultural Australia is an integral part of our national identity. All people who migrate to Australia bring with them some of their own cultural and religious traditions, as well as taking on many new traditions. Collectively, these traditions have enriched our nation.

World Water Day – 22 March
This 22 March represents the 27th annual commemoration of the United Nations World Water Day.  The theme for 2019 is ‘Leaving no one behind‘ and encourages people to consider marginalized people are often discriminated against when trying to access safe water.  Once again this is the theme of our FULL MOON… coming together, having reverence for one another, speaking up for basic human rights – water for one and water for all.

In support of World Water day March 22, 2019, purchase ANY Product or ONLINE Study Course  from our eShop   and we will gift 365 days of clean water to a family in Ethiopia.  PLUS… If you use the following Coupon Code during checkout,  we will also GIFT YOU 22% off your Purchase:   worldwater22
