Our April Full Moon in Libra, reflecting the LIGHT of the Sun in Aries marks the first Full Moon of a new Astrological year.
There is a deep calling within this Full Moon to RISEUP and embrace our Inner-Warrior (Aries) and seek to find new ways of connection, resiliency, empathy and togetherness (Libra)… as together we find new ways of being in the world at this time.
This Full Moon will be a reflection for each of us to gain clarity on what we stand for AND using our collective voice/actions to create a tsunami of change. As I shared in my most recent video, the values, the choices, the actions we take today, create our world of tomorrow. What do you choose ?
With our April Full Moon also being a SUPERMOON – the closest Full Moon to the Earth for 2020 – the ripples of this Full Moon will be felt for many months to come.
FULL MOON – Energy
During a Full Moon, the Moon is sitting opposite the Sun, fully illuminated by the light of the Sun. Hence the Moon & Sun are on opposite sides of the zodiac during a Full Moon… which can make for a challenging or intense aspect of energy but also a very potent potential as the Lunar & Solar (yin & yang) are in natural harmonic balance.
Whilst the energy of a Full Moon can cause tension & uncomfortable friction (where do you think the name ‘lunatic’ came from), at the same time a Full Moon can ignite a greater amplification of vision & potential possibility.
For this weeks Full Moon, the Moon in Libra is reflecting the light of the Sun in ARIES (see diagram below).
Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac and exudes a wilful independence, a pioneering spirit that presents to us as the feeling of anything is possible. Aries is ruled by Mars the GOD of war, bloodshed & fighting. Aries is all about ‘Me’ and what do ‘I’ want. Opposing this fierce energy is our Libra Moon, encouraging us to walk our paths in harmony, co-operation & blessed community. Libra is ruled by Venus the GODDESS of Love, beauty & harmony. Libra is all about ‘Us’ and what do ‘We’ want.
This is a full moon to acknowledge the world around you is but a reflection of you. This full moon highlights that underneath the physical facade, we are all the same… and united in our commonality we can change the world for the better.
It is our amazing diversity (Aries) that creates the whole in balance and harmony (Libra) – so lets all join together in a Heart-Space this full moon and have gratitude for the amazing array of life on this planet… and YES that also means ALL pathogens as part of the Divinely Harmonic Web of LIFE.
Christ Full Moon
When the Sun in Aries reflects its light on the Moon in Libra at Full Moon, this is our Christ Full Moon, the first of three powerful Full Moons of the year.
1. Christ Full Moon – April 7/8, 2020 (Sun in Aries)
Honour of the Christ within all of us / within all of Creation
2. Wesak Full Moon – May 8, 2020 (Sun in Taurus)
Buddha’s birthday, honouring the God within all of us / within all of Creation.
3. Goodwill / World Invocation Day Full Moon – June 5/6, 2020 (Sun in Gemini).
Honouring of Spiritual Unity in humanity.
The three powerful Full Moons form a trinity, a sacred trine of potential for birthing a vision into physical form.
The Christ Full Moon (Sun in Aries) is the instigator of ideas, mental thoughts or ‘sacred envisioning’ from the Heart.
The Wesak Full Moon (Sun in Taurus) awakens the desire, emotional intensity and practical fulfillment of the sacred vision.
And finally the Goodwill Full Moon (Sun in Gemini) creates the aetheric divine pattern in order for the sacred vision to be manifest in physical form.
There is power in the collective. There is power when when we come together in reverence of one another, letting go of the fear/darkness and BELIEVING in a grander, more beautiful possibility for humanity in our hearts. When individually (Aries) we see the Light in each other (Libra) we remember we belong to each other, the truth of who we are is LOVE.
Additional Astro Influences
There are a number of astrological placements that are influencing the energy of our April Full Moon.
Asteroid Juno (12.170 Libra) is making a weak conjunction with the Moon (18.440 Libra). Juno is one of the 4 Major Asteroids (each representing a different aspect of the Feminine – Ceres, Pallas, Juno, Vesta). In mythology Juno (or the Greek Hera) was wife and consort to Jupiter, and therefore the astrology of Juno represents the partnering energy of intimate relationship.. BUT with a more modern slant.
In the bigger context of our lives Juno brings clarity to your Heart Values, what are you committed/married to in your life AND do you live your life in service of these values ?
With Juno conjunct the Moon this Full Moon, she takes you inward, to re-evaluate who you see yourself to be in relationship to the world at large. Is it time to breakdown OLD beliefs & systems, fixed ideals that no longer are relevant as we enter a New World Era ?
Chiron (6.090Aries) is making a weak conjunction with the Sun (18.440 Aries) – and whilst this is a weak conjunction, I still feel it is relevant energetically at this time (particularly with Juno opposing Chiron also). When planets are conjunct the energy merges… creating an intense, amplified feel. Minor planet Chiron represents the ‘Wounded Healer’, where we hold our deepest wounds, hurts, sorrow & shame in our lives – body, mind & spirit. With the Sun amplifying Chiron as it shines its light on our FULL MOON our deepest wounds are coming to the surface for healing. The Moon in Libra may take you deep into woundings of your childhood, your relationship with Women or the Mothering figures in your life. As Chiron conjuncts our SUN, the role of Father/Father Figures in our lives, may also rise up to our awareness too.
MARS & Uranus are making an uncomfortable square together… Mars is war, fiery energy & can be hot headed… whilst Uranus is basically ‘rebellion’. Whilst this may cause volatility, people rebelling against draconian police/military force… with the place of Chiron, Juno & the community minded Libra… all of this can only be a good thing! Aren’t we hear to cocreate a New Story together ? And with Neptune inconjunct the Moon, the illusions are being seen/felt for what they truly are.
And we are still very much under the influence of (and will be for the whole of 2020) PLUTO, JUPITER, PALLAS & SATURN.
This is certainly a highly charge, possibly volatile but also resplendently awakening Full Moon on so many levels. The deeper constructs of who we see & believe as selves to be are being shaken to our core. What does being HUMAN mean to you ? What does a GLOBAL FAMILY mean to you ? What does a NEW EARTH look/feel like to you?
This Full Moon is asking you to dive deep into the realm of possibility, and make choices based not only to the answers to these questions but in service of a beautiful New World for generations to come.
