Today (23 October 2020) Alma Besserdin resigned her position as Victoria Day Ambassador. In her detailed letter to the Government (Dept of Premier & Cabinet Victoria) she highlighted:
“Freedom of speech, movements, expression of religion and culture are banned. Small businesses are deliberately destroyed. Anyone who questions the narrative is being arrested, harassed or imprisoned. In my view this is a complete attack on humanity. These are all the trademarks of a communist dictatorship that I never signed up for. I hope that common sense and good moral values of empathy, care for others and integrity will one day soon be restored. When that happens, I would once again be honoured to represent our country again.”
