Vaccine from March 2021
Australia starts manufacturing a COVID vaccine in November 2020, with the Vaccine available from March 2021.
Government aims for 2/3 population to be vaccinated by end of 2021 – need to get two shots, 30 days apart. Vaccination will be FREE. International Borders then open end of 2021 subject to vaccination health advice.
Government plans to have a system to record who have and haven’t been vaccinated, to help with contact tracing and any other issues that may arise.
The scheme is dependent on the National Cabinet, which is set to meet again on November 13 and will either approve or reject these plans.
