Is there a future worth living? Whilst an uncomfortable question to ponder, I do believe the question is essential if we are to truly engage in navigating this moment on Earth with 100% of our beingness.
When asking that question you cannot hide from yourself. You cannot hide your fears, your anxieties, your deepest sorrows, your regrets.
The question asks you to address your morality. Reflect on whether the choices you are making are contributing to a bigger problem of our present/future. And in questioning, you may find that if you did things differently then YOUR GIFT to the world would change the trajectory of not only your life, but also the future for humanity.
As humanity yearns for life to return to normal like it was ‘pre-COVID’, and many would/are doing ANYTHING to get their freedoms back, the following quote from Fellowship of the Ring sheds a little light into our future:
Frodo: I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.
Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.
I love this quote so much. Many people are being coerced to make decisions, choices that go against the grain of who they are, their values, what they stand for, and what they hold dear to their hearts as human beings. It’s hard. People are scared. People fear losing their livelihoods if they don’t conform. People just want their lives back and for life to return to ‘normal’ again.
Yet, the future that we will embody will be created by the choices we make NOW. All we have to decide is what to do with the time given to us.
The irony is not lost of me that people are being coerced into making decisions for fear of losing their job, their possessions, their livelihoods, their status within the world. YET in choosing instant gratification as a doorway to freedom instead of STANDING UP to the EVIL that is penetrating the barriers of human morality, this is EXACTLY what may my lead to the ultimate loss of jobs, possessions, livelihoods & status. Let alone the loss of life. It’s called THE GREAT RESET.

I enjoyed moving deeper into this conversation with Charles Eisenstein this week. As I have mentioned many times before, Charles has a way of expressing the words that I am lost for, yet feel so deeply within my bones.
Charles’s 16 year old son Philip approached his dad recently, yearning to understand more about the future. He was pondering about whether there will be a future worth living in ?
In the short 6:43 minute audio below ‘Words to a Young Man‘, Charles shares his reflections on YES there is an alternative. There IS A FUTURE that is totally out side of the current trajectory of society. There is a home for the Human Being that we are evolving to be, and in a sense always were.
