I had planned on writing a post this week on the Vagus Nerve, our nervous system and the importance of activating your relaxation response – turning OFF that Fight or Flight reflex. But the post kinda morphed into something else, so instead my heart dived deep into ‘The Medicine Keepers’.
The reason WHY I had been guided to write about the nervous system, is because I have been taking time out this week to engage my own relaxation response. We all have our own personal growth/lessons out of this COVID experience, and that is something both humbling, but also on a human level can present its own challenges at times.
I am a pure Flower Iris with stress rings in Rayid Iridology
(analysis of the coloured part of the eye, windows to the Soul), which means that if life becomes unbalanced, well I can inch towards a wee little ‘crash-n-burn’ type scenario. I have learnt that lesson WAY too many times now, OUCH!!! So rather than working 12 hours days (I know, I know what you are thinking right now as you read that), I cut down to 6 hour days, leaving oodles of time for meditation, self-reflection, time in the garden, cooking & long hugs with those that I dearly love.
With space to dream & meld with the beauty of nature, ‘The Medicine Keepers’ spoke to me this week, so here I am simply being the messenger.
