GENERAL MEANING: New Moons
The NEW MOON represents the beginning of our 29 day lunar month. During a New Moon, the moon is roughly sitting between the Earth & the Sun, hence the Sun is shining on the ‘dark side of the moon’, the side of the moon we never see. As a result, we cannot see the moon as the side that faces the Earth is not illuminated.
The Moon & the Sun emanate frequencies and these energy waves influence the tides, and all life forms on Earth, including human behaviour / consciousness. In addition, during a NEW MOON, both the Moon & Sun are in the same Zodiac sign… giving an exponential boost or concentration of the energy.
The SUN represents our ‘outer-world’, our identify, our personality, our ego. It represents how we ‘shine our light’ out into the world, the present moment, our yang or masculine archetype expression. The Sun offers us strength, courage and illuminated insight of the Soul.
The MOON represents our ‘inner world’, our hidden emotions, desires, our shadow-self, fears/worries and our dreams. It represents our feelings, our unconscious beliefs, the past and our yin or feminine goddess archetype. The Moon offers us the ability to feel, learn from the past and creatively unlock and express our essence.
During a NEW MOON, the side of the moon that remains invisible to us here on Earth is being illuminated by the Sun. Thus our own ‘invisible’ side, our inner feelings, emotions and desires are also being illuminated during a new moon. During this illumination, we are given a window of opportunity to start a fresh, let go of the energy of the previous cycle and set our intentions, dreams & inner-most desires into conscious action.
The NEW MOON is a great time to set your intentions, write down goals or begin new projects for the forthcoming cycle. Consider sitting in ceremony or personal meditation and affirming to the Universe your intentions & inner-most heartfelt desires for the cycle.

Our February NEW MOON falls in the Zodiac sign of PISCES. Piscean New Moons are very powerful experiences of self-exploration… an opportunity to dive deep into the darker recesses of the psyche and explore the unconscious.
Whilst a heightened sensitivity and spiritual intuitive awareness of a Piscean New Moon maybe a very emotional experience for many, it need not be a painful or distressing experience. If you allow the glimpses into self to emerge with ease and simply trust in the divine unfoldment of the unknown… you open the door to reveal the highest version of yourself.
During this Piscean New Moon your inner-creativity will be heightened (during both your waking & sleep hours) and you may find yourself dreaming solutions to problems in your life or seeing new paths of opportunity beyond your perceived limitations. Allow the Piscean energy to amplify your dreamy state such that it knows no boundary. Don’t ‘play small’ with your dreams during a Piscean New Moon… to quote the words of Einstein: ‘you can’t solve a problem from the same level of consciousness that created it’. ENERGY: Total Solar Eclipse
During this February 2017 New Moon, we also have an Annular Solar Eclipse.
Firstly, a Solar Eclipse is whereby the moon moves between the Earth and Sun, obscuring Earth’s view of the Sun.
And then an Annular Solar Eclipse is where from our position here on Earth, the Sun appears behind the Moon as a very bright ring of light (an annulus or ring of fire) around the dark disk of the Moon, as the apparent size of the Moon is smaller than that of the Sun. From the vantage point of Earth, during our February Annular Solar Eclipse the moon will cover approx 99.27% of the Sun.
Solar Eclipse’s create the potential for huge personal and hence planetary transformations. The energy of a Solar Eclipse ‘obscures’ the now or potential future, and allows you to reflect on the past. Not to drag up old energy, or relive painful events or experiences, but rather to positively reassess where you have been and use this knowledge to re-adjust your path moving forward.
Whilst this eclipse is extraordinarily powerful, it doesn’t have to be a horrendous experience of loss, despair, struggle and inner-turmoil. You have a choice to experience this eclipse with a heightened or awakened vision of divine potential.

ENERGY: Neptune, Skat & Galactic Centre
Remembering back to our 10/11 February Lunar eclipse – where we had the magical alignment of 5 Celestial Bodies in the sky forming a Pentagram (5 pointed star) and 4 of those Celestial Bodies formed a Golden Rectangle AND the ‘Saturn’ point of the divine feminine Venus Pentagram was ‘Conjunct’ with the Galactic Centre… wasn’t the energy just huge !!!!!!
Well now, just two weeks later we have some other planetary aspects that I feel are really taking our February 26/27 Solar Eclipse to new heights of potential. Even as I write this article today, our Sun has just moved into Pisces and I can already so very very strongly feel the energy building ahead of our Solar Eclipse in 7 days time.
Neptune & Fixed Star Skat
During our 26/27 February New Moon Solar Eclipse at 8.120 Pisces – both the Sun & Moon are conjunct (within a few degrees) of both the Fixed Star Skat at 8.520 Pisces and the planet Neptune at 11.350 Pisces (click on the diagram right to enlarge).
Neptune holds a dreamy energy of abstract thought, enchanting mystical visions and other-wordly transcedental insights. She speaks through us through art, film, music, dance… a language that takes us out of the illusion of egoic thought and into the Heart of feeling, heightened creativity, the power of the feminine.
The Fixed Star Skat (also named Delta Aquarii) is the 3rd brightest star in the Constellation of Aquarius. This star is associated with good fortune, long-lasting happiness and has long been known as the star on which you make a WISH – as its name is derived from the Arabic word ši’at –
meaning wish.
We have the opportunity to not only close a big chapter in our lives (and for some this may feel like the closing of an entire book), but we will also experience a highly sensory vision (better than any virtual reality software) that we can see / taste / touch / smell / hear and feel/intuit so very deeply in our Hearts. What will emerge out of this Solar Eclipse is the why/how/what we are now called to BE in order to write the next Chapter / Book within our lives.
Over the next six months, in the lead up to the August 2017 Eclipses (Partial Lunar Eclipse & Total Solar Eclipse) we are setting the stage for profound shifts in our lives, our community and the world at large.
We are moving into an adventure of new proportions, an ownership of our Sacred Wealth and an ignition of sacred activism spiralling to new heights of potential. What you give in Service (with WHOLE HEART in support of something bigger than you and what your Heart knows is more beautiful) will be experienced back to you in good fortune, prosperity and happiness.
But if you are head-strong in swimming against the tide of cosmic flow this February Eclipse, you may incite chaos, confusion and get lost in addictive behaviours as a form of escapism from the reality you have/are creating… ouch !
Galatic Centre
The Galactic Centre is the central black/white hole of our Milky Way Galaxy – or as I refer to in Crystal Light Healing, the 8th Dimensional Portal of the Cosmic Gateway (Cosmic Heart), that is a mirror reflection of the 1st Dimensional Portal of the Earth Gateway (Earths Heart).
The Galactic Centre is a powerful transmitter of energy waves known as ‘Waves of Love’. Since 1987, the vibrational frequency of these Waves have been increasing in intensity and will continue to do so as we move toward 2040, the Golden Age. These Waves of Love are facilitating a shift in consciousness; an evolutionary leap for humanity into a new Earth; an awakening of humanity from the dream and into a multi-dimensional reality. The Galactic Centre was Conjunct our Sun on the 18 December 2016, drawing us to step into our Greater Evolutionary Purpose.
Now remember our WOW moment, when on our February Lunar Eclipse the Galactic Centre (GC) played a major role in the Stellar Pentagram… well this month the Galactic Centre is delighting us with a placement in the 12th House – and conjunct Saturn (click on the diagram right to enlarge).
So once again, just two weeks later… WOW… I am lost for words… WOW !!!
Saturn is the bringer of wisdom, our deep exploration of our karmic-ancestral beliefs & imprintings and the awakening to wisdom of the Soul. When Saturn conjuncts the Galactic Centre in the 12th HOUSE… we are bringing an end to the old stories of our lives, our world, our human experience and simply setting ourselves FREE. We close the chapter on our lives of having to follow rules that constrain our wildly passionate Hearts and step into an awakened story of divine beauty and Sacred Wealth of Soul.
Over the next 6 months, those who are prepared to embrace change with WHOLEHEART, who are prepared to step into the unknown (as scary and as vulnerable as that may make them feel)… will catalyse a tsunami of LOVE WAVES set to transform the world stage.. unlike anything we have seen/experienced in our lifetime.
I look forward to walking beside you, riding these WAVES of LOVE with you this year and holding your hand during those times where you may feel a little shaky on your board. 2017 is an amazing time to be alive on Earth as we birth a new world into reality.
Solar Eclipse Meditation ☆
To help you work with the energy of our Solar Eclipse, I have created a short audio meditation to help you embrace the full potential of this powerful portal.
I highly recommend you take some time out for yourself at this eclipse to go within, feel and be the deep wisdom of Creation that exists within you and transcend any thoughts, emotions or actions not in alignment with your most cherished and ancient way of beingness.
I recorded the meditation as the rain fell outside and hence the ‘dripping’ sound in the background (it sounds a little like a metronome) is the sound of water falling off my roof. I was going to re-record, but really felt that this sound of ‘Water’ was to be embraced in solidarity with the WaterProtectors on this 22 February 2017 (as we approach the Solar Eclipse on the 26/27).
