Overview – New Moon Solar Eclipse
Our August New Moon & Solar Eclipse falls in the Zodiac sign of Leo a Fire Sign, which is ruled by the Sun. It falls on the 11 August 2018 or the 11th day of the 8th month in an 11 Universal Year – hence: 11:8:11
In numerology, 11:11 is the awakening code embedded in our DNA, and the number 8 is about owning our power & humbling honouring our LIGHT through the infinite spiral of Heaven here on Earth (as above, so below)… the coming together of duality as ONENESS.
So 11:8:11 during this New Moon Solar Eclipse (with the theme of deeper exploration of the Divine Feminine his year… more about this in a minute)… reminds me of The High Priestess Card in the Tarot.
The High Priestess Card – a mysterious, powerful & intuitive woman sits between 2 pillars (one of darkness, one of light = 11:11) in front of the Tree of Life/ Knowledge … she is beguiling, her presence draws you into her mystery & lifts the veil to uncover your truth.
This so readily expresses the energy of our August 2018 New Moon Solar Eclipse… and the our 2018 theme of the Feminine. This New Moon Solar Eclipse in LEO through our 11:8:11 doorway is about not letting pride or arrogance get in the way of humbly serving the LIGHT & the breath of Grace through us. It is about OWNING our innate KING/QUEEN selves, opening our big-HEARTED courageous Lion/ness natures and choosing to be vulnerable in service of LOVE, a force that is greater than the individual sum of our parts. This New Moon is showing up, being seen, honouring all that you bring to this world… NOT because you have something to prove, but because you BELIEVE in YOU & your gifts of service.
Whether you are male/female… this FINAL Solar Eclipse of the year is taking into the last months of 2018, & guiding you to stand strong, powerful & in full OWNERSHIP of your HIGH PRIESTESS-ness.
Exploration of the Feminine & our NEW MOON Solar Eclipse
Casting your memory back to my some of my posts this year, here are some key transits that are/have been taking our psyches into a deeper exploration of the Feminine:
- January 1/2, 2018 – Full Moon SuperMoon: VENUS (Venus the Goddess / Divine Feminine) calling us to into the deeper recesses of our psyche to explore a feminine wisdom, an uprising of a new story of Women.
- January 31, 2018 – Full Blue Supermoon Lunar Eclipse: Asteroid CERES conjunct the Moon (& North Node) in Leo, took us into a deeper plunge into the stories & roles of Women in society… dismantling oppression & embracing a re-wilded freedom of the Feminine.
- June 27/28, 2018 – Full Moon: Asteroid VESTA conjunct the Galactic Centre, The energy of Vesta is the High Priestess who fans the eternal flame of our Hearts, our Homes and hence our global home – crystalline Earth. Vesta the virginal Priestess (virginal not meaning celibate, but rather not married or belonging to anyone) – guides us towards devotion, to commit to our highest aspirations, our greatest desires and helps us to keep the flames of our passions alight.
- July 28, 2018 – Full Moon TOTAL Lunar Eclipse: The Sun (moon reflecting its light) was in a weak conjunction with Asteroid PALLAS. Pallas represents FEMININE creative intelligence & ageless wisdom… especially regarding healing & medicinal remedies.
- August 8, 2018 – 8:8 Lion’s Gateway: … being a Warrior of LIGHT, a Lion-Hearted gentle yet POWERfull advocate LIGHTNESS & shining brightly for all to see. Standing strong in our Feminine & allowing the Masculine to power & flourish our creativity in the world.
And now on the our final SOLAR ECLIPSE of the year, on our August New Moon, the Moon & Sun are:
- in a STRONG conjunction with PALLAS
- Semi-sextile (30 degrees apart) from CERE’s in Virgo… and
- There is a YOD pointing to our New Moon (by Pluto & Neptune both retrograde)
PALLAS is a warrior women, strong, beautiful, courageous & beholding creative intelligence & ageless wisdom. The energy of Pallas reminds me of Wonder Woman (who just like Pallas is also the daughter of Zeus)… who is said to be as beautiful as aphrodite, wise as Athena, swifter than Hermes & stronger than Hercules. So THIS is the energy that is influencing our New Moon Eclipse. Pallas also represents daughter-father relationships, areas where our greatest challenges with men can ultimately give birth to our greatest grow & warrior-like wisdom.
CERE’s is also having a positive influence on our New Moon Eclipse, in a semi-sextile aspect to our New Moon… getting us in touch with our feelings, unconscious imprintings and reflections on what the Modern Women means for us… and our roles of nurturing / motherhood & our relationship with our own Mother (or mothering figures in our life). Only YOU know the truth of what path to walk in being true to your Feminine Nature… walk it proudly & don’t submit your life to walking someone elses vision/version of YOU!
And the YOD, where PLUTO (enduring transformation) & NEPTUNE (breaking the illusion) are Sextile or 60 degrees apart, creating a point or YOD or ‘finger of God’ aspect to our NEW MOON Solar Eclipse (ie a Quincux at 150 degrees). Basically PLUTO & NEPTUNE and deeply penetrating then individual frequencies in an aligned tsunami of energy toward our New Moon… the HEART of Leo. Forgiveness, whether wronged by men/women, letting go of the illusion our ‘stories’ keep us in, reconciling our deepest hurts in the present moment, and with full courageous HEART opening your SOUL to LOVE.

On a side note… these celestial aspects / configurations could also bring out the shadow side that exists within the psyche of the Divine Feminine. Those ‘sitting in the cheap seats of life’ this New Moon (refer Brene Brown & her Man in the Arena video) maybe triggered with anger, finger pointing, trolling, or abuse by & cutting down those that they see as more successful, worldly, or more together than themselves. In Australia, we call this the ‘tall poppy’ syndrome.
My advice, don’t play small just because a select few critics of this world feel uncomfortable when you bloom, try to hold you back from being successful, or feel threatened by the gravity & magnificence of your LIGHT. When a Women (or a Man) stand in the true omnipresence of their magnificence… one thing can be assured it is going to amplify the shadow of others. So stay strong, stay humble, stay LIGHT & hold a force of LOVE that gracefully is there to be received by others in pain, & those that need it most. Invite the sweet Nectar of your LOVE & LIGHT to heal the deep wounds & mend those that are feeling broken at this time.
The Energy & Meaning of our Solar Eclipse
A Solar Eclipse occurs on the New Moon, whereby the Moon moves between the Earth and Sun, obscuring Earth’s view of the Sun. The energy of a Solar Eclipse ‘obscures’ our vision forward, such that we can take time to reflect on the present and truthfully see how this relates to our past. The insights gained are not about dragging up old energy, or reliving painful events or experiences, but rather to positively reassess where you have been and use this knowledge to make quantum leaps on your path moving forward.
A Solar Eclipse feels like a mega-amplified New Moon and particularly as our August Solar Eclipse is also a SUPER New Moon the energy building has been VERY intense, but (and there is always a but) also has the potential to be wildly transformational… should we choose to surrender to the eclipses greater potential. Well to be honest, Eclipses have the effect of pushing you to transform… and the choice comes into being as to whether you choose to do this with grace & ease !
The theme of our August 11, 2018 Solar Eclipse (whereby our Moon & Sun are in Leo) is calling us to experience the world through eyes of LIGHT & a Heart of LOVE. Remember back to a time (or maybe you are experiencing this right in this moment) when you first fell head over heals in crazy delish LOVE. Remember how you felt, how you viewed life… how the world took on a different meaning during this ‘honeymoon’ period of intense emotion & blissful joy. The world per se didn’t change in the instant that you fell with full heart in love, however your EXPERIENCE of the world took on a whole different hue. It reminds me of the following quote by the late Wayne Dyer:

Summary Energy – New Moon Solar Eclipse – August 2018
It could be easy at present to feel a deep sadness and cynically ‘see’ the chaos, separation and fear within the world way beyond the point of no return. Many people are feeling this pain and being consumed by its darkness and deafening vibe. But your HEART knows that what you see with your eyes is not representative of the TRUTH of who you are, of who we all are… and the greater potential that awaits an awakened Humanity.
With the Moon & Sun in Leo during this New Moon TOTAL Solar Eclipse, we are being called to see the world through our eyes of LIGHT & a Heart of LOVE.
Leo, the big-hearted, wise & courageous lion is calling us to be vulnerable, open our Hearts to a world more beautiful and BE courageous enough to be a revolutionary pioneer by CHOOSING to ‘see’ a greater, a LIGHTer potential for humanity.
